The Nursing Team

Wendy Massarotti - Accredited Veterinary Nurse

Wendy MassarottiWendy is such a happy member of our health care team for whom nothing is ever too much trouble. Talk to her about our Weight Loss Programme as this is her area of special interest.

Wendy is Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualified and has gone on to achieve her Accredited Veterinary Nurse status! AVNs are required to show that their competence and knowledge are current and that they are dedicated to the profession.

Wendy's gorgeous Bull Mastiff Nero is a wonderful character that enjoys sitting on his tractor - and the nearest lap! He is just a big, bouncy boy who'll probably settle down by the time he's 7!

Karina Boyle - Student Veterinary Nurse

Karina BoyleKarina is a dedicated student of veterinary nursing who already has Certificate IV in Animal Technology under her belt! She is part-way through her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and the whole Pets at the Vets team are supporting with her study and mentoring. Orthopaedic surgery is Karina's area of special interest and there's plenty of opportunity to develop in this area at Pets at the Vets.

Karina has two Cocker Spaniels called "Ollie" and "Snoopy" who are also doing some serious training!

Rachel Langdon - Student Veterinary Nurse

Rachel LangdonStudy for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing takes up much of Rachel's time. Her whippet Dakota looks beautiful and elegant but is in reality a bundle of mischief! Rachel’s special areas of interest are pet reproduction and behaviour and as Rachel takes an active part in our puppy socialisation classes, she gets to observe plenty of interesting behavioural situations!

Cats Meeko the Ragdoll and Loki the Snowshoe provide a continuous stream of entertainment and keep Dakota firmly in her place.

Marcelle Luff - Student Veterinary Nurse

Marcelle LuffAlso studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Marcelle’s compassion and empathy make her a valuable member of the team. Marcelle has two dogs, Trixie, a Fox Terrier X and Simba, a Jack Russell X, although her pet family seems likely to expand as she wants to take home every cat that comes to our Cat Adoption Centre looking for a home!

Golden Retrievers and Border Collies are a favourite of Marcelle’s and she has a special interest in pet nutrition, so ask her about the best food you should be feeding your pet!
